The taste of victory from an outside chance is tenfold to that of a sure thing - Howard Spooner

After winning at 100-1 with his aptly named racehorse "Only Dreams" Howard Spooner took his winnings and teamed up with Guy Sangster to buy their local pub.

Renaming and renovating they reopened The Outside Chance on the 9th November 2008. Since then they've built up a very successful, friendly and lively business enjoyed by locals, staff and friends alike.

Just a short walk from the idyllic town of Marlborough, The Outside Chance offers delicious homemade food, created from only the freshest, locally sourced ingredients, in a beautiful country village setting.
Allowing children and dogs into all areas of the pub and with safe, private access to the local play park The Outside Chance is a pub for the whole family. We also cater for weddings. birthday and wake. To hire the pub prices start at £50 an hour and menus are priced on request.

2011 Was another fantastic year for the OC.  With parties, conformations, outside bars at Badminton, Barbury and Cheatham, engagement parties, live bands and  to top it all off a huge Christmas and new year. We'd like to thank everyone who has supported the pub over the last year.
